After reading several reviews after booking my stay with the Spruce Grove Inn, I really had wondered what I was getting myself into...most reviews were terrible, and given the lowered price and very short notice availability for my booking on a long weekend in September, I was somewhat apprehensive.

The facilities of the Canalta held promise and the recent renovation of the facilities look great, on the surface. However, we encountered significant difficulty with the door keys never working and were aghast to find that during our room "service" the beds were made and the rest of the room (towels, empty toilet paper dowels, dirty dishes, etc), were left untouched. This hotel is beautiful now. Fully updated rooms and hotel. The shared amenities with the Banff voyager next door are sort of a downer- we decided to not even go as it was pretty divy. The lodge though was great and beautiful

8 reviews of Spruce Grove Inn "Don't pay attention to the past reviews, this is actually a great hotel. It seems to have gone through renovations so the rooms are quite spacious and beautiful. The wifi is decent enough, location is pretty central… The facilities of the Canalta held promise and the recent renovation of the facilities look great, on the surface. However, we encountered significant difficulty with the door keys never working and were aghast to find that during our room "service" the beds were made and the rest of the room (towels, empty toilet paper dowels, dirty dishes, etc), were left untouched.
